Me and my crafty self

I've been doing lots of fun, crafty like things lately.  And, mostly I'm excited about them because I didn't use a pattern on most of them.  Just me and my brain.

And they turned out.

I know.

Amazing.

The Iron-Man mask I made for the superhero obsessed little boy in our house (more on that later).
I started with a shirt my sister was sending to Goodwill . . .

And made a cute cardigan!!

With Addie starting Preschool, I wanted to have a chore chart to help us all be a bit more organized and productive in the morning. I used an FHE assignment thingy my mom gave us. I've been trying to figure out what to do with it, considering our family is not going to need 7 assignments.  I painted over the FHE, found printable chore cards from pinterest and mod podged them on.  The name tags that came with the board are black, so they are for Andres.  We found some tags at Hobby Lobby and they both helped me paint them pink and then we decorated them with some rub-on designs I already had in my scrapbook stuff.  Every morning, Addie gets to hang one of her cards up when she does the corresponding chore.  In the evening when she does the same chore to get ready for bed, she puts in back in the little holder so it's ready for the next day.  The holder is made from an empty baby wash bottle and some scrapbook paper.  Besides the basic getting-ready things, there is "Put Toys Away" and "Afternoon Chores".  Everyday I come up with something for at least Addie to do.  From helping me fold the clothes to unloading the dishwasher.  I know we'll have to adapt this as they get older, but it really helps me (yes, I am the one who needs help) get going in the morning.
Andres' batman cape.  I made two of these.  They both have batman on one side . . .

. . . and this one has Superman on the other side.  The other cape has the Captain America shield on it per Andres' request.
There you have it.  That is what I have been doing.
