We've moved!

Saturday after the graduation, we went to town on packing and cleaning.  We had scheduled to pick the truck up at 1 and shortly before that, Grandma took the kids to the park to get them out of the way.  Well, long story short, Dexter and I spent the afternoon in the urgent care and by the time we came back the truck was pretty much loaded.  Not really a bad way to go.  And Dexter was fine.  He wouldn't walk on his leg for a few days and limped for a few weeks, but there was nothing on the xray so it must've just been a bad sprain.
When we arrived in Colorado it was very hot.  Jason and Allen got everything unpacked in a super speedy manner.  We are loving where we live.  The neighborhood is friendly and has lots of kids and the house is great for our little family.  One of the best things is we have a small fenced-in back yard.  And it truly is as wonderful as I always dreamed it would be.  And the weather is so enjoyable!  Even when it's really hot in the day, it cools down in the evening!  Here we are enjoying a nice BBQ picnic dinner before Grandma left:

Our pool also helps to make the heat more bearable and a lot more fun!

THE Gradutation

On June 7, Jason graduated from Dental School!!! WAHOO!!
Is it amazing that he is finally done?  Yes.
Is it surreal that he is a DENTIST?  Yes.
He has worked so hard the last 4 years and I am so proud of him. Way to go!
Jason's parents came for the graduation and then to help us pack up and move.  My brother Allen was there, too, but for some reason I don't have any pictures of him besides part of his arm as he chased Dexter.
Are they the best or what?
umm, yes!
The ceremony went pretty well.  We all had to take turns following Dexter around since he did not want to sit still, but everybody else did great.  Afterwards we went out to dinner and went home to an almost completely packed house since we had decided to pack up the next morning.

Preschool Graduation

Addie graduated from Preschool the same week as Jason graduated from Dental School!

Field of Dreams

One thing we had always wanted to do in Iowa was to visit the Field of Dreams Movie Site.  We had heard that it was a lot of fun, and although I had my doubts about how much fun a baseball field would be, we decided to risk the hour+ drive to check it out.  There are really a lot of pictures, but really isn't that the point of a place like this?

On our way.

We stopped at a second hand sports store and got some perfectly sized gloves for Addie and Andres for $5 each!

Addie took this picture of us. Pretty good, eh?

We're ready!

Enjoying a little lunch

We tried to get either Addie or Andres to re-enact the oh-so-exciting fall-off-the-bleachers scene, but neither one was too into that. We did watch the movie the next day and I paid enough attention while we were there to tell you they're the same bleachers.

Go, Andres, Go!!

Dexter took a turn running the bases too.

And there you have it.

Brave Birthday Bash

Addie is a planner.  And loves parties.  For quite some time, she's been planning her birthday party.  It was going to be brave themed, and it was going to be outside.  We bought a blow up pool and we came up with some pretty awesome (if I do say so myself) water games to play at this outside Brave party.  We planned to have it before graduation and moving made life too crazy.  As soon as we sent out the invitations, the weather decided it didn't want to cooperate.  Not just rain, but thunderstorms were predicted that whole afternoon with 80% chance.  Not good.  So, we rearranged and came up with some other games.

Addie loved her cake and I loved not having to make or decorate one!

At the end of the party, since it wasn't raining, we decided to take the water guns out and try them out.  Luckily there were already a few moms out there with us when the sirens went off and we had to get everybody back in.
