In September we had a visit from Grandma and Grandpa Gonzalez. We decided to make the most of it and had a lot of fun. We took the kids out of school and Jason took a day off and we drove up to Frankenmuth. We had a lot of fun and found some fun things to explore. All of the girls in the group felt like we should come back and spend more time there; visit the little shops, walk around the cute town, and eat all the yummy food. But, if we don't get to come back we at least got a good taste of what the town had to offer.
We, of course, visited the Bronner's Christmas Wonderland. It was fun. Although, after about 10 minutes my anxiety set in with my children in a place so full of breakable things.
The little bit of walking around we did was full of these face cut-out things. We all had a good time. We also found a place that sold beignets and also all sorts of crepes. We left wishing we had more time because there were lots of other places and foods to try.
The main event of our day was at Zehnder's Water Park. We all had a really good time. There were water slides and a lazy river and places to just play in the water. It took some convincing to get the kids to try the water slides, but once they did they loved it.
We also went to the Henry Ford Museum and had a great time. The boys enjoyed the factory tour a bit more than Addie, but everyone enjoyed the hands-on part.
The hotdog part was one of my favorites.
Buses, trains, cars... all the fun stuff.
Grandma and Grandpa can come visit anytime.
