Dad's home, so we have time for...

Jason finished his first year of Dental School at the end of June and we are all so proud of him. AND we're REALLY glad he's home for a few weeks and has time to spend with us. We've been having all sorts of fun, and here are just some of the highlights:

We've been able to double-team Andres and get some good smiling pictures. As I've mentioned before, he's a very happy and smiley baby but as soon as the camera is out he becomes all business.

Addie LOVES to hold her brother. The funny thing is, he's now more than half her size which makes holding a little awkward. Not to mention that if he starts to tip to one side she just laughs and says "silly baby". They are really cute together and you can tell they love each other even though sometimes they don't understand each other very well. But, well, I mean, look at them! Do they come much cuter than this?

Jason has also had time to take care of himself. He's been putting off going to the doctor for things all year, and he was finally able to see a sports therapist about his knee. He found out that his feet aren't just flat, they're REALLY flat. And this extreme flatness has taken it's toll and is affecting his knee. I have told him ever since I first saw his lovely feet that they were really flat, but I'd never seen flat feet before so when he just dismissed it, so did I. Basically I got a little bit of a laugh when he came home and told me the doctor's reaction when he took off his shoes (okay so maybe I laughed really hard and had a difficult time controlling myself). Anyway, he now has to do exercises every day and this is a picture of everybody getting in on the action.

"I'M SUPERMAN!!"
Sadly, we discovered that even superman can have accidents. We recently had a trip to the ER.
This is what can happen if you take on a lemon zester:
It wasn't too big of a cut, but it was deep. Plus I watched the utensil go right into her eye (I know, just thinking about it makes me wince) so we wanted to make sure it was all ok. And of course it was. Just 3 hours in the hospital, a vending machine dinner, a whole team of doctors watching 1 hold her down so they could glue it without getting any in her eye, and her 'booboo' and it was all 'bettah'.

I still can't believe that a lemon zester is capable of such trama.
Oh, and kids don't come as cute as yours. They are adorable. It must be so much fun to have Jason home and spend time together, finally.
You guys have had a crazy year. A new baby, first year of dental school, moving. Really a busy year. I am glad that Jason did well.

Love the entry! No, they don't make them any cuter! CAn't wait to get my hands on those two. Interesting about the flat feet. John has been complaining about knee pain. Maybe his flat feet are the culprit. So glad the ER visit was turned out good. Very scary. Can't wait to see you.
