And these are the flowers that Jason sent to me for Valentine's Day. You might think that sending flowers on this day is not a big deal, but let me tell you: it is. First of all, since we're not spending any money this month, anything was a surprise. But most of all, Jason has not gotten me real flowers since my graduation in August 2006. He's always said that he doesn't want to give me something to represent his love that is going to die. I know it's sweet, but I like the fact that they're pretty for awhile and then I can throw them away and they don't add to the junk. So, he's always gotten me live plants. But I have a tendancy to kill those too (unintentionally). Anyway, I have the best husband and I'm grateful for him and all he does.

Valentines 2011
We celebrated the "day of love" all weekend long. We have been trying not to spend any money this month except on food. So, we went a little overboard in that arena for our celebrations. On Saturday I made yummy waffles with strawberries and whipped cream and raspberry hot chocolate.

Then on Sunday morning Jason got up with the kids and let me sleep in while they all made a valentines breakfast for me. These crescent roll hearts are filled with scrambled eggs and cheese. The little ones have cinnamon sugar on them. What a clever, creative husband I have. And Addie is holding the valentine they made for me.
This weekend Andres also officially became a walker. He's taken a few steps on his own before, but he seems to have found the confidence for more. We were skyping with Grandma when he decided to show off how far he could go. He still does more crawling, 'cause he's faster that way, but now he knows he can do it. Way to go Andres!

Looks like a fun celebration! I am impressed that your hubbie can safely cook you something, and that it tasted good too!
I am so impressed with Jason, that he would put so much effort into breakfast. And I am so glad that he got flowers. I love flowers. Even though they die. I loved watching Andres gain confidence. Kids are so cute. Glad you had such a fun weekend.
IMPRESSIVE! Happy Valentines. Way to go Andres! I love to check in on this happy family.
