Andres

I love  this little boy.  He's becoming so fun and he has such a goofy personality.  He likes so many things right now.  He still loves cars and trucks and motorcycles and anything else that moves, but he also really likes pirates, or maybe just being a pirate.  He'll put on this patch and say "Ayaar!" (his version of arghh) and then he'll pull the patch up and say "It's just me, Andres".  I love the fact that in this picture a pirate also needs a binky, which he never used until Dexter came along.  He claimed this one as his own and occasionally will put it in his mouth and bite it (he doesn't really know what to do with it).  He's learning all sorts of new things, although he doesn't seem to care as much about learning letters or numbers or colors the way Addie did.  He knows most of the vowels by sight and we're pretty sure he knows all of his colors because he will point them out, but if we ask him what color something is, he seems to just say the first thing that comes to his mind.  He counts "1, 2, 1, 2, 1".  But when I count to 10, he will say a lot of the numbers with me.  He still falls asleep just about anywhere, which I am a fan of right now since Dexter still doesn't have much of a schedule and most days Andres will still get a nap even if I have to be with Dexter.
He has been saying "I love you" a lot to both Jason and I and he gives really good hugs.  He is saying lots of complete sentences and is a very animated talker; he uses his hands and his face to get his point across.  He loves to climb anywhere and everywhere.  I thought these pictures were hilarious.  He was trying to get something out of the closet and as he crawled out, his diaper got stuck on the door.
He looks so distraught in the one picture, and then he has completely given up in the next.

Andres loves his little brother.  Sometimes he hugs him a bit too tight and he likes to touch his face way more than makes me comfortable.  I certainly cannot leave the two of them alone for fear of permanent damage, but they sure do like each other.  Even with all the times Andres has accidentally elbowed him or tripped over him (yes, it has happened), Dexter still has a big smile when he sees his big brother.

What a cutie! He sounds a lot like Thomas with the 1 2 1 2 counting. And Jack with the colors, although, he has moved on from that.
Andres is awesome!

What a fun entry!!!!! I love that little pirate too! He certainly is full of personality and charm. Wish I were around for one of those hugs. It sounds like the brothers and sister are doing great. Thanks for sharing.
