This last week, though, was our salvation. We all started to feel better just in time for spring break (hooray for still benefitting from a school schedule!!) and Jason had the whole week off! And the weather improved enough that we could enjoy the break too. We went on walks, did some spring cleaning, and even broke out the grill to have some yummy food. The most fun we had was when we met some friends in Dubuque at an indoor water park and spent the whole day on some super fun water slides and the lazy river (ahhh, the relaxation!). I spent most of the time with Andres while Addie and Jason ran from slide to slide. It warmed my heart to know that Jason now has a buddy in his love of water slides. I went down with Addie the first time and thought that she would be scared or at least not like the splash of water at the end, but she just looked up at me, wiped her face and said "again" (it was really more like 'den', but we knew what she was talking about). The only bad part of the day was that we forgot to bring the camera! Tragic. I took a few pictures on my phone, but I'm not really sure how to get those on here, so . . here's some random pictures instead.
In his cute little church outfit - I love the tie, especially because it looks like one his dad would wear.
Our happy little boy.
Such a proud and good big sister!

THis was worth the wait. So sorry that it was a bad month with all of you being sick. But I guess that made the good spring break week look even better. The water slides sound so fun. I would love to see pictures. I guess that means you will have to go again. Right??? The tie does look like one of Jason's. Scary! Hope you survived Allen leaving. I thought, with sympathy of you all today. Hope are are recovering.
Such cute kids! I'm glad you posted pictures. I love the shirt and tie. That's awesome!
There is always sunshine after the storm. Thanks for sharing a little of the sunshine. We who are mothers can remember well enough the other parts and sympathize. The kids are DARLING!
We've had a house of sick kids too. It really takes a toll on us moms. I am barely sane at this point. I hope spring brings a lot of sunshine and sends the germs packing.
So cute. I love the "tie". I am sorry that you had a hard week. Sick kids are so hard.
